Creare comes from the latin term “to create”.
Founded in 2023 by designer and creative director, Kristel Pllumaj. A design studio rooted in the belief that spaces should feel like lived stories. Creare offers interior design services that range from residential to hospitality developments. Prioritizing a highly personal and collaborative client journey, as well as a focus on not only the final result but the process itself: listening, discovering, and crafting environments that give clients more than they imagined, and spaces that continue to unfold over time.
Design is a method of storytelling—where every space reflects the people who inhabit it and no two stories are ever the same.
KRISTEL PLLUMAJ
Originally from Albania in Eastern Europe, Kristel’s creative perspective is shaped by a rich cultural heritage and a deep appreciation for art, architecture, and the narratives that exist within spaces.
She studied Interior Design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, where she refined her visual language, developed technical understanding and strengthened her curiosity for how environments influence human experience.
Kristel’s design aesthetic is organic, intentional and timeless. She gravitates toward unique forms, natural materials, and environments that feel both grounded and intuitive. Her approach allows each project to reveal a sense of character, purpose, and individuality. Guided by culture, architecture, and the natural world, her work seeks to elevate everyday living through thoughtful, enduring design.
